World Radio Pro on Chrome

Five things, one payment, no subscription

The radio is free and stays free. Pro sells the comforts around it: the quiet, the alarm, the timer, the finishes and the room to save whatever you like.

US$9.99 once on Chrome · Paid through ExtensionPay with Stripe · No account, no password

What Pro unlocksFive things
  1. No promotions bar

The strip at the bottom of the free player rotates our own MomentumLab apps. Pro removes it completely and gives the height back to the station list, so you see another row of stations.

  2. Wake to radio alarm

Set a time and a station, and the browser starts playing it on its own, daily. Nothing has to be open or focused first.

  3. Sleep timer

15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes, counting down on the key, ending in an eight second fade rather than a cut. It survives the popup closing.

  4. All four deck finishes

Green, Amber, Ice and Violet. Each one is a different instrument: the chassis, the type colours and the spectrum wall palette all change together. Green is the free default.

  5. Unlimited saved stations

The free player saves up to ten. Pro removes the cap. Anyone who was already over ten before 2.0 keeps every one of them for good, with or without Pro.

Get the extension, then unlock Pro

Pro is bought from inside the extension, so install the free version first. Nothing is charged until you choose to.

What stays freeLonger, on purpose

The catalogue is not for sale

The station directory is a public resource built by a community, and charging rent on it would be the wrong business and the wrong product. A free World Radio Player is a complete radio, not a demo with the good parts taken out.

  • All 20,000+ live stations
  • Search across the entire directory
  • Filter by country, all 176 of them
  • Filter by language, 30 shelves
  • All nine curated shelves
  • The LED spectrum visualizer
  • The full ten band equalizer, with all eight presets
  • Recently played, and reopening where you left off
  • The Green deck finish
  • Up to ten saved stations
The free version of the extension with lock glyphs on the sleep timer and alarm keys and the house promotions bar along the bottom.
The free player. Locked keys carry a small lock glyph and stay visible, and the promotions bar sits at the foot of the panel.
The finishes

Try one before you buy it

Tap a locked finish in the free version and the entire deck becomes it for three seconds, chassis and spectrum wall together, then reverts. Describing a colour in a bullet point is hopeless. Watching the fire wall move and then having it taken away is the only honest way to sell something whose whole value is how it looks.

See all four finishes

The Amber deck finish: the whole extension in warm bronze with a fire palette spectrum wall running deep red through to warm white.

Common questions

Is this a subscription?
No. World Radio Pro on Chrome is a single payment of US$9.99. It unlocks the five features above permanently, on the machines you are signed into Chrome on, with nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
How do I pay, and who sees my card?
Payment runs through ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe to take the payment. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen, handled or stored by us or by the extension. We do not receive your card number, its expiry, or its security code at any point.
I bought Pro and then reinstalled. How do I get it back?
Open the extension, go to the Pro panel and choose to restore your purchase. ExtensionPay emails a sign in link to the address you bought with, you click it, and the licence returns. There is no password and no account to remember, which is also why the email address you used at purchase is the thing worth keeping.
I do not remember which email I used.
Check for the receipt from ExtensionPay or Stripe in your mail. If you cannot find it, write to us from any address you might have used and include roughly when you bought it, and we will help you track the purchase down.
Does Pro carry across to other browsers or to the phone?
World Radio Pro is a Chrome unlock, bought through the Chrome extension and tied to the Chrome account you are signed into. The iPhone and iPad app is a separate product with its own store, and a Chrome purchase should not be assumed to carry into it. We would rather say that plainly than imply something we have not settled.
Will the free version get worse over time?
No. Every station, the whole directory search, the country and language filters, the curated shelves, the visualizer and the full equalizer are free and stay free. The directory is a public resource and we are not going to charge rent on it. Pro sells what we made, not what we found.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Write to us within a reasonable time of buying and we will refund it. Nothing you already have stops working while that is sorted out.

Install it free, and decide about Pro later

Nothing is locked behind a trial and nothing expires. Use the free player for as long as you like, and buy Pro if the alarm, the timer, the finishes or the quiet are worth ten dollars to you.
