Terms of use

These terms apply to the World Radio Player extension for Chrome and to worldradioplayer.com, both published by MomentumLab AI Pty Ltd, ABN 72 684 179 646, of Sydney, Australia. Using either one means you accept them. If you do not, the extension can be removed and this site can be closed.

What you may do with the extension

You get a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to install and use World Radio Player in browsers you control, for your own listening. You may not resell it, redistribute it, decompile it, or repackage it into another product.

You may absolutely use it at work, in a shop, in a workshop or anywhere else you would use a radio. There is no separate commercial licence and we are not going to invent one.

The station directory is not ours

Station names, stream addresses, countries, languages, logos and tags come from radio-browser.info, an open community database. We did not write it, we do not own it, and we cannot warrant that any given entry is accurate or that a stream is on air. Entries go stale, stations close and addresses change. That is the nature of the medium.

The audio you hear belongs to the broadcaster. Your browser connects to their server directly and we do not proxy, record, rebroadcast or store any stream. What a station broadcasts is the station's responsibility. Anything you do with that audio beyond listening to it is between you and them.

The directory pages on this website describe stations using data from the same public source, presented as a factual listing.

World Radio Pro

World Radio Pro is a single payment of US$9.99. It is not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing is charged again, and there is nothing to cancel. It unlocks exactly five things: removal of the promotions bar, the wake to radio alarm, the sleep timer, all four deck finishes, and unlimited saved stations.

Payment is taken by ExtensionPay using Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or held by us. The licence is tied to the email address you buy with, which is how it is restored on another machine.

The licence covers your personal use across browsers you are signed into. It does not cover distributing the unlock to other people.

Refunds

Write to [email protected] within a reasonable time of buying and we will refund it. We are not going to argue about what "reasonable" means for a ten dollar purchase.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or under equivalent consumer protection law where you live. Where those rights conflict with anything written here, those rights win.

The free version, and changes to it

The free version carries a bar promoting our own apps, and saves up to ten stations. Installs from before version 2.0 keep unlimited saved stations permanently.

Every station, the whole directory search, the country and language filters, the curated shelves, the spectrum visualizer and the full ten band equalizer are free. It is our stated intention to keep them free. We can change the product, and a promise about the distant future would be worth nothing anyway, but taking the catalogue behind a paywall is not something we intend to do.

What we do not warrant

The extension and this website are provided as they are. We do not warrant that any particular station will be available, that a stream will play, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free. Audio playback in a browser depends on the station's server, your network, your browser and your operating system, and most of those are outside anyone's control but yours.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the extension or this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which for most people is nothing and at most is US$9.99.

What is ours

The extension's code, its interface, its design system, the name World Radio Player, and the text and layout of this website belong to MomentumLab AI Pty Ltd. The station data does not, as set out above.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by removing the extension, which also deletes everything it kept on your machine. We may end the licence if it is used to break these terms or the law, which in practice means redistribution or tampering rather than anything a listener would ever do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights you hold where you live.
